Unbound . The journal challenges existing models of traditional scholarly publishing through its strong commitment to open access publishing and the encouragement of innovative and experimental publishing methods. This allows Unbound to stand as a truly accessible home for cutting-edge cultural research. We are especially looking for interdisciplinary or trans-disciplinary contributions that explore cultural perspectives, issues or phenomena and contribute significantly to scholarly discussions in one or more fields or disciplines. We are also interested in work that presents innovative theoretical or methodological approaches. Unbound also welcomes review articles that surveys emerging or changing fields of cultural research. Unbound is an Academic led journal published digitally in Open Access. We charge neither authors nor readers, and most of the labour that goes into the journal is gifted. We have no full-time staff and are not backed by any publishing house. Since it was launched in June 2009, Unbound has seen a steady increase in submissions. Especially over the last years, the inflow of manuscripts has accelerated. Unfortunately, the editorial capacity has not increased at the same rate, and this means that our processing times are longer than we would like them to be. The current situation with the Covid-19 pandemic has not improved this situation. This means that we are becoming stricter in evaluating proposals in relation to our aims and scope. Before making a submission, please consider carefully whether it meets the criteria outlined here . The editors welcome proposals for articles, reviews and thematic sections.
